Here is a map of November tornadoes  from 1959 to 2004 showing that it is not uncommon for tornadoes to occur during this time. 175 deaths have been recorded during this time period.  There have been 14 F4 tornadoes, 105 F3 tornadoes, 371 F2 tornadoes, and the rest being F1 to F0 in strength. Be on your guard in November, a tornado can strike when severe weather conditions exist.
Remember November 2005 tornadoes in Indiana?
Tornadoes touched down in both Evansville Indiana and Henderson Kentucky during the night. DeGonia Springs Indiana also suffered extensive damage. The path of one tornado was over 40 miles long and 3/4 of a mile wide in some spots, and moved at 70 to 75 mph staying on the ground for about 35 minutes. More than 22 people died.

March 31st 2007 read about Tornado Tim's interview with Fort Worth's Star-Telegram about his theory on a need to enlarge tornado alley maps. Read article here  Going back to 2000, less than 8 percent of the killer tornadoes were in the traditional alley.
NOAA predicts some parts of tornado alley to be drier than normal.  If this prediction holds true those areas that are expected to be drier than normal should see less tornado activity this spring.

Tornado Tim filmed a large wildfire near Douglas Wyoming on July 18th which burned over 12,000 acres of grass, sage, juniper and ponderosa pine

Tornado Tim Chases down more storms in July, with one funnel that almost became a tornado coming just short of a full touchdown on July 11th in Kansas.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service office in Hastings have said that the 30-county area they serve in central Nebraska and north-central Kansas hasn't had a confirmed tornado for the first six months of this year. That hasn't happened since 1950. Read More....

July brings an end to most storm chasers in the field. Doppler on Wheels has ended until 2007, Tim Samaras has dismantled his team for the rest of the year unless a major outbreak is predicted. For the most part, 2006 was not a great year for most storm chasers, with many not seeing one tornado. July may see a slight pickup in tornadoes from June this year only because there were so few, but usually tornado reports decline.  Tornadoes will occur in July and August, but how strong and how predictable are the big questions. There has been a few Julys where the tornado season became very active, will this be one of those years?

Another tornado in Kansas on June 17th, with one also reported in Texas and one in Oklahoma.

tornado was seen from I-70 today June 16th near Goodland Kansas and was even visible from the National Weather Service Office in Goodland Kansas. While on the ground it was seen heading directly for town, but it appears no major damage was done.

NOAA REPORTS TORNADO SEASON STARTS BUSY
A warm winter contributed to a busy and deadly start to the tornado season, according to NOAA meteorologists. This is the highest total number of reports for the first three months of the year since 1999 and is a sharp contrast to last year when only 96 tornado reports and five deaths occurred by April 3. The number of deaths so far is the highest since 1998.

Wednesday morning saw a record 45 below zero at West Yellowstone, Montana the frequently cold spot at the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, the National Weather Service said. The old record for December 7 was 39 below, set in 1927.

November 2005
Here is a map of November tornadoes  from 1959 to 2004 showing that it is not uncommon for tornadoes to occur during this time. 175 deaths have been recorded during this time period.  There have been 14 F4 tornadoes, 105 F3 tornadoes, 371 F2 tornadoes, and the rest being F1 to F0 in strength. Be on your guard in November, a tornado can strike when severe weather conditions exist. So 2005 has not been that uncommon.

Tornadoes are being reported in Kansas. Local law enforcement reported a tornado 12 miles south of Herington Kansas...or about 30 miles south of Abilene Kansas. Also a storm spotter reported a tornado 3 miles south of the town of Pilsen Kansas.  In Missouri an apparent tornado struck in Howell county.

Tornado Rips Through Evansville Indiana and Henderson Kentucky Killing 22
The tornado touched down in both Evansville Indiana and Henderson Kentucky during the night. DeGonia Springs Indiana also suffered extensive damage. The path of the tornado looks to be over 40 miles long and 3/4 of a mile wide in some spots, moved at 70 to 75 mph and stayed on the ground for about 35 minutes. This is an incredible speed for a tornado to move at.

Sunday Morning: Wilma now heading towards Florida with a pressure of  961mb and sustained winds of around 100 mph. A category 2 hurricane it may strengthen before hitting Florida, but still expect tornadoes and large storm swells 5 to 8 feet above normal.

What You can do: One lesson for all of us to learn from the hurricane Katrina nightmare is to check with your local and state officials to find out what disaster plans they have for your own local area. After the disaster hits is not the time to find out what their plan was. In other words, you must take action to keep this from happening in your area. You are responsible for those who run your counties, cities and states and it is your responsibility to know what plans they have in place.
